Our boys are, for the most part, so sweet to one another. Yes, they have their moments. They annoy. They tattle. They push and shove. They blame. They boss.
But--when it all boils down to it--they love each other dearly. They take care of each other. They don't want the other to be left out. The have fun together.
One night last week, we put LB to be earlier than BB. We typically put the boys to bed at the same time, but since it was fall break we let the big one stay up a little later. Of course, LB wasn't happy about bedtime. He never gets enough play time in. BB didn't like that his brother was upset. He set out to make him something. That is BB's love language. Gifts--he loves to give people things. Most often, cards and drawings.
He brought this over to me. My heart melted. He did this on his own, so I know it reflects his true feelings.
"Wade you are my best friend."
How precious is that?
That is my prayer. That these boys will love each other. Respect each other. Be kind to one another. See each other as a blessing. Do life together.
