It's a little too late for this post for THIS year, but remember these pointers for next year.
- Buy costumes WAY in advance. It is amazing how much cheaper they are when it is not treak-or-treat time. I usually stock my kids up on their birthdays and Christmas. We have a ton of costumes by this point. So, my kiddos wore something different to each Halloween function.
- Of course, making a costume with things you have around your house is always cheaper. I'm not crafty that in way.
- BB somehow got his Aunt Lydia to buy him a Woody costume at Kroger as a treat (not exactly the price range she had in mind for a treat...but...). She paid $25.00 for the thing and it wasn't anything fancy...at all. My Mom made the exact same purchase at Walmart for $9.99. I'm tell you...it was the EXACT same costume. Same packaging and everything. So, be careful where you make your purchases. Grocery stores tend to be overpriced.
- You can find great deals on Ebay and Amazon.com...especially if you don't mind to purchase a costume that has been used a time or two before.
